Great blog and would love to take a tour one day sounds a really good experience .
Thanks for the information .
I´m really loving this initiative. The city attracts a lot of architecture-lovers and this sounds like a wonderful plan to appreciate the city´s most iconic architecture landmarks!
Hi,
Yes this is a great tour for architect lovers! Are you planning to visit Barcelona? Would you be interested in going on this tour?
Best,
Francesca
Hi, I’m interested to do a tour in mid March with my father who will be visiting and is almost 80, meaning he’s slowing down. We are interested in buildings by: Jeroni F. Granell i Manresa as I am renovating a villa that he designed. Can you help or sugest something that would not require a great deal of walking but would give us a wealth of information on this lesser-known early Modernist Architect?
Thank you,
Tony Hayes
Hi Tony,
Jerome F. Granell is one of Barcelona’s most original Modernista architects. Well known for revitalising the art of glass-making, he produced a large proportion of Barcelona’s Modernista glasswork, some of which can be seen in the Palau de la Música and Hospital de Sant Pau.
If you would like to see his work, take a look at this list we’ve sent you so you can schedule visits according to their locations and the distances between them.
Casa Antoni Miquel – Balmes, 54
Casa Elisa Bremon d’Espina – Gran de Gràcia, 61
Casa Jaume Forn – Roger de Llúria, 82 – València, 285

Dear Andrew,
Thank you! This is a great start. Do you have staff people that are well informed on Jerome F. Granell? I would be interested to spend a few hours on a guided tour if the person leading the tour was well informed on Jerome F. Granell.
Please get back to me, my father would join us and he will be in Barcelona March 12 through March 15th; thus, the 14th would be an ideal time for us.
Best regards and thank you for ansering my email.
Tony
Andrew,
I am also interested to learn more about the history of our villa: Villa Paula.http://www.epdlp.com/edificio.php?id=2737
Any help would be appreciated. What I am really interested in is the name of the Cuban Merchant that commisioned the house.
Tony
Hi Tony,
Glad you like the list.
We don’t have any staff that informed on Jerome F. Grannell (yet!), but we recommend this tour from ICONO, where you can book a customised tour suited to your interests. They have many tour guides who really know their stuff so it’d be a good idea to get in touch with them and organise a brilliant Jerome F. Grannell tour. You can find out more about them in one of our other blog posts by clicking this link
As for the villa, I’m afraid there is not too much we can tell from the info on the page you sent us. But it certainly is a beautiful building. You may have seen this already, but this view of the villa is also amazing!
Best wishes
Truly nice post you have here. Itd be really cool to read something more about that theme. Thnx for posting this information.
